Setup
Rules (from notebook)
- 6x6 board, 8 ghosts each: 4 good + 4 evil; types hidden until captured
- Setup: 2 rows (cols 1-4 only)
- Move 1 square orthogonally; capture by moving onto opponent piece
- Win: capture all opponent's good ghosts OR move a good ghost to opponent-side exit corner
- Lose: all your good ghosts captured OR you capture all opponent's evil ghosts
AI strategy
- 2-ply lookahead with capture detection
- Treats unrevealed opponent pieces as uncertain threats
- Eval weights:
+60good-ghost differential,+25own evils alive,-5opp evils alive (avoid the "captured all evils = you lose" trap), advancement of own goods toward exits - Setup: goods on outer columns (closer to corner exits)
