Setup

Rules (from notebook)

  • 6x6 board, 8 ghosts each: 4 good + 4 evil; types hidden until captured
  • Setup: 2 rows (cols 1-4 only)
  • Move 1 square orthogonally; capture by moving onto opponent piece
  • Win: capture all opponent's good ghosts OR move a good ghost to opponent-side exit corner
  • Lose: all your good ghosts captured OR you capture all opponent's evil ghosts

AI strategy

  • 2-ply lookahead with capture detection
  • Treats unrevealed opponent pieces as uncertain threats
  • Eval weights: +60 good-ghost differential, +25 own evils alive, -5 opp evils alive (avoid the "captured all evils = you lose" trap), advancement of own goods toward exits
  • Setup: goods on outer columns (closer to corner exits)
